# Connect Microsoft Partner Center to Storevisor

> Every Microsoft Store app's listing and submissions.

## What it unlocks in Storevisor

- Every Microsoft Store app on the release board.
- Store listings, and creating, committing or deleting a submission without opening Partner Center.

## The access it needs

| For | Least role or permission |
|---|---|
| Analytics, reviews, listings and submissions | Manager (the role of the Entra app in Partner Center) |

- Register the app in Microsoft Entra (App registrations, New registration), then add it in Partner Center: Account settings, User management, Microsoft Entra applications.
- The client secret is the secret's Value (Certificates and secrets), not its Secret ID. Entra shows it once.
- A client secret expires on the date chosen when it was made. Add a new one before then and connect again.

## Steps

1. Partner Center, Account settings, User management, Microsoft Entra applications: add an app with the Manager role. [Open user management](https://partner.microsoft.com/dashboard/account/v3/usermanagement)
2. Copy its tenant ID and client ID, then add a new key (client secret) and copy it.
3. Optional: your Seller ID, under Account settings, Legal info.
4. In Storevisor, open Connections, choose Microsoft Partner Center, fill in the form and save. The connection is checked live with the store first; a connection that fails the check is never saved.

## What the form asks for

- Tenant ID (required)
- Client ID (required)
- Client secret (required)
- Seller ID (optional)

## Errors the check can show

The exact sentence the Connections page shows (<angle brackets> are your own values), then what to do.

- "Tenant ID is required."
Copy the Directory (tenant) ID from the app's Overview in Entra.
- "Client ID is required."
Copy the Application (client) ID from the app's Overview in Entra.
- "Client secret is required."
Add a client secret and copy its Value.
- "Tenant ID and client ID are GUIDs (xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx)."
Copy both IDs again from the app's Overview.
- "Entra rejected the client secret for <client ID> (wrong, expired or deleted) — add a new one at <the app's Certificates and secrets page>"
Add a new client secret and paste its Value (not the Secret ID).
- "tenant <tenant ID> does not know app <client ID> — check AZURE_TENANT_ID / AZURE_CLIENT_ID"
The tenant ID and the client ID do not belong together. Copy both from the same app's Overview.
- "<status> from Partner Center: the Entra app <client ID> is not associated with the seller — Partner Center → Account settings → User management → Azure AD applications (https://partner.microsoft.com/dashboard/account/v3/usermanagement)"
Add the app in Partner Center with the Manager role.
- "Partner Center answered <status>: <answer>"
Partner Center answered something unexpected. Try again in a few minutes.
